Volunteers Needed for 2021-22 School Year! It's hard to believe we are already planning for the 2021-22 school year, especially when we don't know what fall will look like. DEI Windows & Mirrors Book Drive - *NEW* May Focus
Canyon Creek PTA Windows & Mirrors Book Drive Benefiting Canyon Creek Elementary Canyon Creek PTA's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee has organized a new program for Canyon Creek - the Windows & Mirrors Book Drive ! All books will go to Canyon Creek library and classrooms. Each month we will focus on a different theme with intersectionality at the core. Staff Grants Available - Deadline extended to Friday, May 14th
Canyon Creek Staff Grants Available At our Special General Membership meeting on Monday, April 5th,our membership voted to offer Canyon Creek Elementary staff grants to allow for reimbursement of up to $75.00 (per staff member).   Any staff member that has made a purchase this school year for items to support their students either at school or in a virtual environment can submit a request. Jewish American Heritage Month Every year May is Jewish American Heritage Month (JAHM) in recognition of the indelible contributions American Jews have made, and continue to make, to our nation’s history, culture, and society.  Jewish American Heritage Month had its origins starting in 1980 when Congress passed Pub. Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Asian American and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) Heritage Month dates back to the 95th Congress (1977-78) when it was introduced that a week in May should be designated to commemorate the accomplishments of AAPIs. National PTA's Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life. Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme.
