1st Annual Multicultural Night - Summary

We are so excited about the number of participants and diversity of presentations - for our first Multicultural Night! It was well attended by families coming to learn and explore as well, which is awesome.

As a summary for those who didn't make it, we had tables setup in the cafeteria and gym. Many participants brought food, providing a large variety of delicious tastings offered. Some families brought crafts/activities. There was TONS of information about different countries and cultures displayed on presentation boards and posters, as well as many artifacts. Some the countries/cultures that were represented included: India, Iran, America, Lebanon, Ireland, Russia, Hawaii, China, Thailand, Brazil, and Israel.

In addition to the presentation areas, we had a Bollywood Dance Along in the gym and a Fashion Walk to show off cultural attire!

We also had a visit from Northshore School District's Superintendent, Dr. Michelle Reid. It was so great that she was able to stop by and check out some of our families' presentations!

Thank you to everyone who participated and/or came to explore our school's cultures!

We are looking forward to hosting a similar event next year! If you have suggestions and/or feedback for the next one, please don't hesitate to contact us and share! We can only make it better if we hear from you!!
