Hello Canyon Creek Families,

I hope you are all healthy and faring as well as possible during this challenging time.  I wanted to reach out and let you know that your school nurses are still working from home and available to answer your questions and concerns. I am checking email every week day and you should have a reply within 24 hours. If you would like to talk on the phone, we can arrange that. Just be aware that when I call, it will be an unlisted number.

The outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is stressful for people! Fear and anxiety about a disease can be overwhelming, not to mention the disruptions to lifestyle and routines and the cascade of other things to worry about. If you find that stress is impacting your or your family, it may be time to have an information diet and look for some new coping tools.

I wanted to share some reliable information sources that can give you a quick rundown of the new essential COVID-19 information and then you can stop and go about your life. The CDC also has some good ideas about coping with stress, anxiety, and how to help your children and family members who may be having problems coping.

Last but not least, I wanted to share some community resources that one of our district nurses and district family advocates compiled.

As we have all moved to work from home, the sunshine has been nice but can't take the place of the sunshine of seeing your children every day. Miss you guys!

Nurse Susan

p.s. Don't forget to wash your hands!
