Our Special PTA General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, December 7th was very productive (and short).
We elected three new executive board members:
Radhika Bhartia for Treasurer
Priya Patel for Secretary
Suzanne Subbarao for VP-Programs
Our President also appointed an executive board position:
Melanie McKenzie for Advocacy Chair

We were really in need of some help and we are lucky to have filled all our open positions - one even had two candidates!

Our PTA Nominating Committee (NOMCOM), responsible for finding candidates for all of our board positions for the 2022-23 school year, will be open for self-nomination soon. Want to know more about the NOMCOM and how it works?
Our Mid-Year Financial Review Committee has three volunteers. They will be responsible for reviewing the financial records in January. This kind of review is done at mid-year and year-end to ensure we are following WSPTA financial best practices.
Helping Hands "Be a Holiday Hero" is underway and there are still lots of opportunities to help! Signup for helping will end on Thursday, December 9th, with drop-off event on Monday, December 13th.
We hope to see you at our January Canyon Creek PTA General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, January 18th, where we will have representatives from Northshore School District presenting information about the Bonds and Levy that will be voted on in the next general elections. Find out more.
