Have you or a friend ever said, ”My child is not motivated to read”. We might have a solution for you! Canyon Creek PTA is partnering with High Trek Adventures to offer a wonderful reading incentive.
High Trek Adventures is teaming up with local elementary schools to encourage our youth to develop strong reading habits as well as experience outdoor adventures in the PNW. During the month of March, students who achieve the reading goal of 8 hours of recreational reading will earn their choice of a Ropes Course or Laser Tag Adventure (valued up to $40) or a discounted Summer Camp Voucher (valued at $50).
Print the linked reading log (or just start a reading log of your own) to record your students minutes of reading. If your student reads at least 480 minutes (or 8 hours) of recreational time during the month of March, they will receive a voucher via email for an outdoor activity at High Trek Adventures. YIPPEE!!
In early April (by Thursday, April 15th), complete the Google Form below with the details of your student, your contact info, total March reading time, and the voucher selection. Canyon Creek PTA will review and confirm that all students are actually enrolled at Canyon Creek, then we will report the details to High Trek Adventures!
Vouchers will be issued and delivered by High Trek Adventures via parent email before May 1st and will be available for immediate use upon receipt.
High Trek Adventures is located 20 minutes North of Seattle in Paine Field Community Park. Climbers ages 7 and older will have access to over 60 obstacles up to 45 feet in the air and 3 ziplines during their visit. Students ages 4-6 will have access to our Kids Course and 2 ground level ziplines. If your child is not comfortable with heights, they also have the option to use their ticket for an hour of laser tag and mini golf or they can get a discounted summer day camp voucher.
