Hello Community Serve Day (CSD) Volunteers,
We are so thrilled to have CSD return to Canyon Creek Elementary. Thank you for volunteering to serve Sunday, August 22nd from 9am-1pm. We are looking forward to a great day of service - thanks to you!
One major difference this year will be face masks being required for all. Whether you are working outside or inside the classrooms, all volunteers and teachers must wear a face mask the entire time. This is per NSD requirement.
Prior to CSD, please take a few minutes to fill out the release form. One release form for the family is needed (click on this link for the form). You will get a confirmation email once you have submitted the form. You can forward that confirmation email or show us the email during registration.
If you have any of the following supplies, please bring them, labeled with your name. Any tools that are labeled will be returned to you at the conclusion of Serve Day.
We will be serving both inside the classrooms and outside on the school grounds, landscaping and painting. In classrooms, we will help teachers prepare their classrooms. Outside, we will repaint four square and tetherball lines, spread wood chips on the playground, and weed and mulch our garden beds. Please come prepared to be flexible and wear clothes that you can get dirty. Let us know if you have health concerns that affect your job placement for the day.
Please email me if you have wheelbarrow or a blower you are willing to bring. We need several for outdoor projects.
We will have extra water and plenty of snacks for all. We look forward to seeing you and spending the day getting Canyon Creek Elementary ready for the staff and students.
