Thank you to everyone that attended General Membership Meeting on Monday April 13th via Zoom. It was great to see everyone.
During that meeting, we amended our standing rules allowing our PTA to use electronic voting, when needed. Since we will have the remainder of our 2019-20 PTA meetings via Zoom, it was critical to ensure we could vote electronically for the 2020-21 PTA Executive Committee.
As stated in our Nominating Report (posted on March 8th), the current nominations for the Executive Committee are:

VP Communications: Jennifer Snyder
VP Programs: Melanie Mckenzie
Secretary: Emily Cross
Treasurer: Mumtaz Zimbalist
Treasurer Assistant: OPEN
We are now opening our self declared ("from the floor") nomination period. People who would like to nominate themselves for an elected position on Canyon Creek PTA can do so here:
The nomination period ends on Wednesday, April 22nd. In order to be elected, candidates must be 18 years or older and must have been a PTA member for at least 15 days prior to the election.
At the close of the self-nomination period, if there are any contested positions we will use an electronic voting method, sent out PRIOR to the meeting. If no position is contested, we will hold the election by voice vote in our next General Meeting, on Tuesday, May 19th at 7pm. A Zoom link for the meeting will be available closer to the meeting date.
