Gift to School 2018

Each spring, Canyon Creek PTA awards grants through our Gift to School program to pay for materials, activities or projects that are aligned with our mission statement and goals. This year, our membership voted to allocate up to $18,500 in grants across our school community!

Grants awarded this year:

• RazKids for K-3 and mid-level classrooms
• iXL for 1st-4th grade and mid-level classrooms
• Manga High for 5th grade classrooms
• Paper subscriptions for K-3 classrooms (e.g., Scholastic News, Science Weekly, National Geographic)
• Alternative seating options (one at each grade level)
• Noise-cancelling headphones and sensory chew items
• Early reader books and additional storage bins for the Book Room
• Clipboards for Mrs. Goodspeed's classroom
• Chess sets, LCD boards, and books for Ms. Vancour's classroom
• Westward expansion books for Ms. Weinstein's classroom
• Book bags for 1st grade classrooms
• High-interest series books for 2nd grade classrooms
• Country books and tri-fold boards to support next year's 3rd grade Heritage projects
• Mystery Science subscription for 3rd grade
• Library "Backpack Buddy" program to engage early readers
• Recess special activity programs
• Science Club supplies
• SLP support materials
• Security cameras for entrance areas (pending district approval)
